Nice looking fly. I want to tie some different Isonychia patterns and since they mostly hatch on rocks instead of open water your pattern should work well. Thanks.

I've pretty much always fished bamboo. I'm not sure I'd feel right fishing anything else. lol

Re: May fly Honey Dun a V.S. Hidy pattern.
I love these Hidy patterns, but keep thinking they need to be fine tuned to the bugs I see on the stream. What bug do we think is this pattern aimed at imitating, or perhaps better said, evoking? I think this fly could be suggestive of some of the early season mayflies. Hendricksons, Quill Gordons ...

Re: Soft Hackles Flies for Brodhead Creek Trip
Great looking flies. I've never fished the Broadhead so one of these days I have to try to make it. I have one question. Could you tell me what the body is on your Isonychia nymph? Thanks

Re: March Brown Soft Hackle (Tutorial/SBS)
That's a fine looking fly Ray. Thanks for posting. Interesting you included some olive in the dubbing. I've been searching March Brown patterns for the upcoming swap and have only come across one other that used some olive in the body. Would not have thought of that myself. Good job.
