Woodcock Undercovert Hackles

I'd like to tie few size 14 of Pritt's "Old Master", per Rob Smith's latest video, (using a Canada Goose feathered body) but I'm out of the necessary Woodcock Undercovert hackles. Could anyone spare a few? Thanks.

Re: Pritts Greentail

Bob, The thorax on your flies has a very spikey look to it. Did you use the split thread method, dubbing loop, or simply twist it on your thread? Thanks- Ken Ken I'm lazy. Just twisted it on the silk. Tightly at the begining and end of the "noodle" and looser in the middle Bob

Re: Pritts Greentail

You beat me to it! I'm just finishing the last 2 of 18 to add to my fly boxes. I found it a little difficult to tie in the green and grey threads at the same time, so I started the green silk about a third way down the hook shank and then back up to where I started. Did a couple turns of a whip fini...

I have a full skein. Let me know if you want any.

Re: P & O. using Morus silk 6b

Ken

I don't recall whether it was on this Forum or on the Classic Rod Forum, but there's several fly tiers that feel that the Java Brown and 6b silks both look very much alike when wet.
