Lovely fly.
Anything Hare's Ear just makes me feel warm and fuzzy inside, and I'm sure the fish feel the same way.

Re: Game Bird Hackles
I had a reference sketch from ??, but not nearly as clear and understandable as those two posts.
Those go in my Soft Hackle notebook.
I thank both of you gentlemen.

Re: "Wet Flies" by Dave Hughes
I have it, and have to agree with everyone so far. Clearly written in the "Hughs" style, the instructions and tips are
very well done. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it. It's earned it's place on the "wet fly" shelf of my library.

Re: Old topic: On the subject of Tup's Indispensable...
There is a thought I had, it may have been made before but I seem to have missed it, the traditional method sheep farmers monitored their rams was by slabbering a dollop of red dye/paint on the ram's 'underparts'. That way they could tell if a yew had been covered. Or am I just being facetious. ;) ...

Re: Connemara Black
Ron, it's only uncomfortable to buy Sally Hansen's when there is a line of
customers waiting behind you.
I've been using it for years, and it seems to have a pretty good shelf life.
And it's nice when our flies and fingernails match.

That one just screams "I'M A BUG!"
I'd fish that one anytime, anywhere.
Thanks for posting.
