Nice touch, although if I tried that little trick of yours it would guarantee to scare the fish away. Even though purple is my favorite color, it scares the fish down river for me.

Very nice work there Mr. Hankinsfly......... I too, save the tips of certain feathers and use them for other flies!These spiders were tied from the hackle tips left from the Brown Drake Nymphs
