Ray,
Absolutely gorgeous staff! This thought just crossed my mind! From the 23rd Psalms...."My rod and my staff they comfort me". We know a flyrod is always a great joy and comfort whenever we use it! Now, your staff can comfort you too!
Feelin' a little biblical at times,
Moses

Re: Cat fur soft hackle
Sith,
Great looking pattern although I must confess, I did not like the look of it (the thorax) at first but now I have changed my mind! The more I glance back and forth over it, the more buggy it becomes and that's where it counts! You did an excellent job as always!
Your pal,
Doug

Re: Stone Mouthfull SBS
Dearest Bill, Yowee!! What a terrific pattern and from the looks of the construction (thanks for the SBS. It's great!), very easy to tie. I like the way you seperated the leg segments at the end. Otherwise, that could get kinda messy I would think. This pattern not only has the glitz to fool some Ma...

Re: Soft Hackles from a Drift boat
Dearest Paparex, How about a canoe at the mercy of the wind? I have had really good luck fishing from a canoe when the wind is right and it shoves you along with little or no adjustment. Now that I am back from La-La land, usually it goes a bunch better when the guy in the back of the craft has dedi...

Ruard, Your "just playing around with hooks and fruit bags" is high up there for duffers like me! You have taken the simplest of materials and made something wonderful and so useful too! Let us know how these and other patterns work in Wales when you go! As always, lots of pictures please!...

Re: "Nymph Fishing" by Terry Lawton
Ray, I also have it and it's pretty good! I have to agree somewhat with darringduffer in it's "liveliness" but overall a good read! Terry did a very good job in demonstrating that nymph fishing is nearly another world when compared to fishing in and just under the surface film! And it was ...
