When you tie this fly, and take a picture of it, please notice that I have edited the initial post. It was claret not crimson.

Bill Bailey pointed me to this site http://www.flyleaves.dk/tup%27s_indispensable.htm which I should have found by myself years ago. The spaniel fur in the photo looks almost exactly the same colour as my opossum under-fur. No need to look for that dog any more...

I'm intrigued by Tenkara and eventually will get a rod.
