Cormorants and pelicans are brutal on fish in Utah and Idaho. Only low water from irrigation or drought is harder on the fish population. Fish need to be 17" or 18" to escape the cormorants in the Snake River Basin.

I think that mayfly as found on Henry's Fork is called the Pink Albert, but not sure about that. Yep. This pattern also works for PMD's, Light Hendrickson's, Yellow Quills, etc. As one moves south from that corner of Eden PMD's are more yellow in tone. There are some waters in Eastern Idaho, Western Wyoming and Southwestern Montana that the PMD is a yellow to pink color. The problem with a wet fly, stonefly is that it is a nymph or drowned adult. Due to the behavior of the stonefly (except Yellow Sallies) one does not see stoneflies mid stream. Have you considered the Twitchy Chicken by FlyFIshFood.com?. Change the colors to olive, black and gray and I think it flies...as well as a Skwala can
