Re: Going Out of Business
I don't like seeing places like these close. It would be nice if someone bought the business and kept it going. But it says he is retiring, and sadly some families have kids that want nothing to do with the business to keep it going. That's why Cabela's sold to Bass Pro. I'd like to see one paychec...

Several months ago, I tied a few of the RFS nymph and gave away most of them to some friends. i think I have only 3 or 4 left. Needless to say, there will be more in my fly box before my next fishing trip.

Re: Royal Charlie
I also was impressed by Rob Smith's video and tied a few RCs. Haven'd fished them but maybe next season.

Re: Endrick Spider
Years ago, a friend in the UK sent me the dressing for the Endrick Spider and the only difference I could see between this dressing and a "standard" PT soft hackle was that the ES was weighted under the PT body.

Re: The holy grail!
Since most folks here use a handle rather than a name I'll assume it's for anonymity and not name drop....but a HUGE thank you to the gentleman from the group that sold me the holy grail of hen hackle, a light honey dun! And for a very reasonable price. Pictured with it is Hidy's watery dun dressin...

Sorry, no light hare's ear. Seems like most of the extra dubbings I've gathered over the years have been dyed / darker colors as (in the past), I've often used light / dark Hareline hare's ear and / or picked the fur off of several masks.

Re: Now What?

Believe it or not I thought to list a bunch of stuff on the auction site. 😮😵😳 My only saving grace is, my son loves to fish!!! Hope eve...

Re: Starling skins
Cookshill is being difficult; does anybody have another source for high quality Starling that they could share with me? Thanks. What do you mean about Cookshill being "difficult"? I just checked Steve's website and there's no notation that starling skins or wings are in short supply. Did ...
