Silk. Pearsalls gossamer straw waxed to olive.
Body. Same as silk.
Thorax. Lt. Olive seal.
Hackle. Yellow Golden Plover

Found this pattern in The Vade -Mecum of Fly Fishing for Trout by G.P. R. Pulman published in 1851. I'm finding this to be a great little book. The pattern called for Brown sable for dubbing. I found this pattern in the list of North Country Flies by William Robinson 1820. The list can be found in North Country Flies by Robert Smith. Hook. Allcocks wet #6812 size 12. Silk.
