Marvelous fly, John! Looks like a very effective fly.
Question - I am not familiar with "lurex". Is it similar to krystal flash or flashabou? How many strands do you use to create the body?

Fantastic conversion, Carl. That little green hot spot has got to be worth a few fish in the net.

Beautiful fly, Carl. I love the look of the raffia body. I don't remember seeing it used as a body material for these flies, but I love the look of it. Thanks for the inspiration.
Great hook. I've been planning to pick some up on E-bay one of these days.

Stunning fly! I love the combination of the counter wrapped ribs. They highlight the flawless body beautifully. Gorgeous silk work, cicvara.

Damn that is a handsome fly! Those Sawada hooks make a nice framework. The blend of colors is very harmonious.
Question - How do you like working with the Griffith's 14/0? I just started using some Gudebrod 10/0 midge thread (it was recommended to me by Chris Helm) and love working with the stuff.

I had missed this post as well. Lovely little fly Andrew. I'd like to try the and the green/black/dun version you mentioned above.
