No worries Bill, that's a beautiful tie. I have been pulling flank feathers from a bunch of Ducks my friends have taken over the past year or so. I'll put some photos up of flank feathers from what I've gotten recently from them.

Bill , what feather is the wing. I was given a hooded merganser skin last year and the flank feathers look very similar . I will take a photo tonight and post .

In regards to lighting, my tying area is in the basement. I installed led tracklighting over the ping pong table that I tie on. So it's decent. My camera is my smartphone at this point. Hares Ear and Partridge
Tied a few Hare's ear and Partridge recently. Partridge feather collar from the bird's back. Orange Danville thread and a mix of Hare's ear, Cat, Red FoxSquirrel and some Floss strands for a little color for the Dubbing. Spun the Dubbing on some Gutterman's Silk in Chestnut on a Clark Dubbing block....
