Re: Electronic Caddis

I am relieved to find another that has mixed results with this pattern. For me, it is like the Copper John, or CDC & Elk. Others do well them. My success is limited.

Still, they are fun for me to tie.

Yes they are.
And rainbows aren't.
Good response. I am still at a loss what the gripe is.

Electronic Caddis

Size 14. As pretty as the pattern is, I wish it was better at catching fish.

I tie them every year and catch a couple fish. Then forget them for 11 months

Re: Three days on the White River

Ok. So if they are native why the need to be rid of them or reduce their numbers? Because they are not as desirable as a trout? Weird given them seem to be a fairly good sporting fish in their own right. Seems strange to me that we as humans should impose our values on a creature native to the said...

Re: Adam—-wet version

I like your version of the Adams wet. I think most of us have tried it tied with Brown and Grizzly Hen . I never developed a lot of faith in that version. Your example tied with Cree looks better in my opinion. The dark tail you use looks great. I will definitely consider getting a Cree hen cape. We...

Re: Dirty Rat Nymph

That bursting wingcase is the ticket for that pattern. The majority of my wing cases are now Black or Peacock. If I were nymphing, Euro, Tight Line, or under a bobber (indicator) I would have this as my top fly. It would work well as an attractor, emerger, cripple, or drowned adult. You have many bu...
