Re: Gilt Coachman

Norm,
That is one classy looking pattern! It is obviously an attractor pattern but very subtle in its call sign! The gold tinsel body is tops! Your tying is tops also! You have a way with wet flies!

Re: Orange partridge

T12,
That is one stinking awesome pattern you have created! I thought the story behind the vintage silk was amazing! Have you thought of other patterns using some of the neat materials you have described?
Thanks for asking about this Ray! Your timing is impeccable!

Re: Ginger Henwing

Ray, With this latest SBS, I can see it....how it's done! This is fantastic! And, you are driving me nuts with that beautiful "tan" hen (I know, it's actually ginger) skin! I really like the softness of each feather and the workability of same! I want to start on my (your) imitations right...

Re: A glimpse into Doug's fly box (Winter 2023 Tying)

Thank you Ray for posting these pictures! And you Mikes both for the encouraging words! I have been taking on projects (not just flies but, it's been a big part of it) in and around the Den! Playing catch up was fun! It was like it used to be! Looking forward to an evening of tying after a day at wo...

Re: My iron blue nymph

Dear Partsman Mike! These two look fantastic! They have that fuzzy aura about them which I like and I'm sure your tribe will like too! I know what you mean about proportions and trying to get them right! Sometimes, you look at a pattern and think, "that should be easy"! Then the dubbing co...
