Wayne, I think those are excellent looking flies. Personally I like the one's with a tail.

Have you noticed at all which the fish prefer when it comes tails or no tails?

The hackle is only too heavy if you think it's too heavy.
I like the body color with the gold tag.
You should have no problem feeling tugs on the business end of the line.
