I might be able to help here. A number of years ago Orvis sold a set of add on weighted leaders (Maybe still do) for this purpose. What I personalty do is ,fish a weighted bead head nymph and add a dropper ( about 20 inches) , when I'm fishing a short fast run. Best John Dunn

Hi All I just tied my first Flymph from Jim Slattery site a Cahill. As I tied the Flymph I laughed out load, I kept trying to tidy the fly up, I know it's supposed to be rough and unkept. It's hard to change a old Dry fly man. Ps I think the fly looked OK John Dunn
