Wm, is there a chance you could post a closer in pic of one of your flies? One of us blind guys can't get a good enough look at it and when I enlarge it it's too blurry for me to make out.

I don’t know where to begin because this subject is complicated. I will point out not many plumbers lick their fingers like some fly tyers do when dubbing. Any product specifically made for fly tying is probably safe. Shame I can't like a post but I do like it pointed out that not many plumbers lic...

I used SWIX many years ago before I became more proficient at rolling dubbing on the thread.

I was looking at the angle on the "ribbing" and wasn't sure which hand you were winding with. Tying with a broken arm must be... well....interesting to say the least.

do you tie left handed?

It's probably the best legal substitute we here here in North America.
