Thanks Dougsden. It’s a pattern that always intrigued me but my tying
attempts in the past have not been pretty. I like to tie dries and again
my dry fly attempts of the Tup’s have been wanting. Lou was kind enough
to send along some Tup’s samples and I think things have improved.

Thanks Fishnkilts. I don’t know if it’ll be a productive pattern either. I
was just curious about how the blackbird covert feather would look on
hook. So I thought of something black and something blue. We’ll see.

Okay so I added a second fly which is now on top and the dressing is exactly the same except the Tup’s blend consists of dyed seal and less hackle.
