Re: Picric Irish Patterns

Andrew, And then there is Charlie Craven, one of the finest all-round tiers today, who is right-handed in the normal sense of the word yet chooses to tie like a lefty... Cheers, Hans W Now that *is* weird. Usually, bit of a generalisation, but left handed people are usually better with their...

Re: Picric Irish Patterns

They are absolutely beautiful.....i just thought you might like to know why the flies in the pics were facing left. Willowhead, I am left-handed myself. I turn my flies round to be photographed so they are facing right - which can be a bit scary because it is not the side facing me when I am tying ...

Re: Artistic Hybreds.....for lack of a better term, lmao

Of course, to get some of the beads on, I am being really thick. I was thinking fishing wise, with your gut hook, you were turning back the clock a couple of hundred years! Fascinating stuff, and it is growing on me - but I suspect as a spectator, not a participant. I'm not visually cre...

Re: Artistic Hybreds.....for lack of a better term, lmao

Hi Willowhead - as directed ;)

they are amazing creations. Do you - or does anybody - ever fish them? I could imagine salmon taking some of them, given the flies I know they do take - not that I have ever done any salmon fishing.

What's this about cutting off the eyes?

Andrew.

Re: Are you your body..?

I enjoy being in my body, have few problems with my shortcomings and am clever enough choosing an interest where progress is almost guaranteed. I very rarely get frustrated when fishing. It's just that I like to think about things. I am my brain, my intellect, my mind. That doesn't catch me all the...

Re: Head Clinic

It's been said that, "Once an idea goes forth, it no longer belongs to those who brought forth the idea. It belongs to the world.....to utilize." ..........you dig? ;) Oh I do dig... I think. ;) I am just not convinced the bare hook is my best 'canvas'... you dig? ;) But I WIL...
