Ariel,
You are soo blessed! I want to join in with Ray's wise words on being blessed in turn with goodies from other friends who tie or have tied in the past! Show us some special things in the near future but most of all, show your dear friend! I can't wait to see!!

William, Nice to see you posting such beautiful, beautiful patterns! Jaw-dropping gorgeous on those beautiful Daiichi 1250's! And to think that I own some of this material that you and Ray gave to me in Roscoe! I cannot do what you do with this stuff and make it look so dog-gawned buggy! But, I am g...

Re: pheasant tail soft hackle
Cicvara, Absolutly stunning! I love the effect of the barbs wound around the tying thread! What a great idea! And the dubbing color and texture...simply wonderful! It has just got to be a great fish catcher as well! You did really well in the photography dept. as well! We always want to see more of ...

Re: March Brown
Roadkill,
Outstanding! Your selection of the finely mottled or spotted partridge shows you took your time and made a great choice. The rest of the fly looks pretty spectacular too! Great Job as always!

Re: Hare's red badger
Cicvara, Yum! Absolutely stunning patterns! Some call this a "palmer" style of hackling? I just can't get enough of how wonderful this series looks. William is right! The red is awesome. Have you tired other colors? Have you felt the need to try other colors? Red is usually a great color t...

Re: Grouse and Silk/Thread Combo
William, One flash (at a time) of inspiration just shot thru my round head. What it you sent the primrose silk up the shank toward the head twisted as a seperate component? Send it lastly and twisted enough to make a more defined, almost segmented looking body. I like the subtle lines on the pattern...

Re: Clark's Dubbing Blocks
William, I am in love with all three of your beautiful creations! Which one do I prefer? You will have to wait until tomorrow! I am just getting in from a furious card game at my in-laws (always a blast) and I tuned in to this thread just to see what's going on. I like what I am seeing! I am captiva...

Re: Clark's Dubbing Blocks
Ladies and Gents, I am still just blown away by this post and all it's threads! Five pages already! Keep it going! One interesting thought....I notice in everyones postings that each one of you is using materials and techniques to achieve a certain body style that appeals to you. By the way, it appe...
