Overall, I had a great time and caught about a dozen fish. Most of them were browns,which was nice and the purple and partridge tied on # 19 was the ticket. I plan on going again tomorrow.

Swinging soft hackles

Well, it has been a while but I am going to swing some soft hackle flies today on the South Holston with my switch rod. I will add to this post later tonight. I am going to start of with a purple and partridge and go from there.

Here you go, it works well for me but it takes a little practice to use his automatic bobbins

Thanks and it is nice to start posting again. The vise is a Damaseal vise, my fried Faruk made it for me and I just started tying on it a few days ago.

It started snowing at lunch and the shut down the university, so I came home and tied a quick fly. I was just thinking of summer fishing on the SOHO. Sorry for the bad picture, I took it with my cell phone.

Kevin and William, I am expecting both of you to come down and visit. The fishing is suppose to be better this year and June through the first of August are the best times. As a matter of fact anyone that wants to come down and swing flies for smallies is welcome and I would enjoy having you visit m...
