You know, Norm, if you keep working at this fly tying thing you might just get good at it some day.

...that fly actually looks like a 'fly of prey', diving at speed towards and unsuspecting fish.

That same spirit of generosity always came through in his emails and the notes he would send up. I never got to meet him in person; the closest thing was a phone call we shared a few years ago. I still wander back through his site all the time!

I know Norm's pattern refers to General Joseph Hooker, but having just come from a thread where Doug uses the words 'love' and 'sassy' in the same sentence, my head went somewhere else.
