Fishing these waters I take both 4 and 6 weight 9 foot rods. :D IMO selecting rods is kind of like a golfer deciding which club to use. ;)

I fish a 2 fly cast (2 dries, dry/dropper, or 2 wets) about 90% of the time with 1 or 3 flies about 5% each. It is how I usually test new flies against my old standards. I don't think we should overlook the use of the standard Partridge and Yellow for the adult insect especially if there are those skinny little egg layers flitting about the stream. I have tied some P&Ys with an egg sac on the back and think they make a simple to tie excellent cripple or drowned ...
