Thanks Ray. I'm sorry about the picture quality. The weather here in Ireland has been unbelievable this summer. Brief run-down; April......2 weeks dry weather. May.......4 days dry ( not consecutive ) June......5 days dry ( not consecutive ) July.......3 days dry ( not consecutive ) August....0 days...

Hank, Read that book! Brilliant read. He had a very minimalist approach to fly selection. He recommended only a few go-to patterns, instead of boxes and boxes of them. So what do we do with all the flies that we tie. I'm thinking of sorting my boxas out by river, not by type! Raining here again toda...

I was thinking that this pattern could represent a trapped blue winged olive of some sort or a caddis. I tend to fish it up stream dead drift. Hi I like the look of the legs like I've done, just kinda throw a figure 8 around em and just snip em off . The more randomly the better. Does anyone think the hook shank is too long? Thanks William for the link! Interesting..... Must get my thinking cap on
