Ken and Carl,
Those are really good looking flies. I'll have to tie a few for local brookies. Very nicely dressed flies, Ken. Thanks for getting those "postable", Carl.

Re: Custom Leaders - My next adventure
Tim, Are your furled leaders thread or mono? I used furled mono leaders for quite a while. They turned over nicely, as a furled leader does. Then a friend made some thread furled leaders for me. They were superb as far as tiurning over a fly, but the loop for attaching the tippet failed on the first...

Re: JUPITER WINGLESS WET FLY
Hey Lou, Welcome aboard. I googled Jupiter wet fly patterns and got a bunch of flies, none of which were called a Jupiter wet fly. I'm thinking maybe a local pattern. Maybe our man in West Yellowstone can chime in if he knows about it.

Excellent work, Carl. I'd have to tie 500 flies to get 12 of that quality. I am totally stealing your idea though. Do you have a good source or did you just Amazon it?

Those are some nice looking necks and the colors are great. I haven't seen Collins necks in some time. I may have to get an order in. Does he still throw in the saddle as well?

Re: Custom Leaders - My next adventure
If your looking for quality, white, horse hair for making leader snoods, try shops that sell to violin and cello players. Their bows use horsehair, usually Siberian Stallion. Stallion tail hair was used because mares get urine on their tails, discoloring and weakening the hair. White horse hair, whe...

Re: OPST Skagit head for single hand rods
Ray, I went with the 7.5 foot 35 grain floating tip and the 7.5 foot 60 grain sink tips. All three sink tips that length are 60 grain (Riffle, Run and Bucket), they just have a different density to affect their sink rates. You don't have to alter your casting stroke for different weight tips. I thin...
