This dubbing contains U.V. materials. The pictures show the difference between lit and unlit with U.V. light. That doesn’t prove it’s more effective.

The 477 is made of 85% wool and 15% nylon as mentioned on the card. Under magnification the wool looks natural or pale gray and the nylon is something like claret.

I have some original 477 as well as some of the substitutes. Berroco UAF 1214 is the best in my view. Tied on a hook it's difficult to tell it apart from 477.
