Musquash Variant

Post by DUBBN » Tue May 26, 2020 11:17 am

William, I added more bling fiber and lowered the brightness on my camera. I believe I captured the bling fibers.

This variant as well as any that you tied should work well at any level of the water column. Atleast, for me it should work. I am not an expert in caddis behavior , but I will treat the patterns you tyed and my variations as diving caddis.

Yes Ray, it is Ostrich. I am trying a couple of my favorite colors. Tan and dark Ginger.

Another one for the "DUBBN" fly box. Tan and ginger ostrich, hmmm. My wife is going to hate you. Meanwhile, she is on the hunt for some more Kori Bustard.

Thank you Ron and William.

I tied a few up for a float on the Roaring Fork River in the morning. A small variety. Should I see a caddis hatch, or just heavy caddis activity, I will fish them in conjunction with my standard SH's.

William, I am using Wholesale Fly Company hooks. I have fallen in love with them.
