Bill,
I got out fishing this morning, and decided to tie on one of your soft hackle stonefly nymphs. Sure glad I did. This fly is a fish magnet!

This was the best fish I've landed this spring. I hooked and lost an even larger bass this morning, but he thru the hook after a few wild head shaking leaps. What a fish!
Both were hooked on your stonefly nymph. Thanks for the long distance assist!

That's a great looking fish, Ray. Happy to know it liked the stonefly pattern.

Holy Cow Ray,
One would hate to swim in water that had smallies like that swimming around in it! That is one handsome bronze back! It makes it all the sweeter catching a giant like this on one of Bills creations! I too am glad to see that stonefly nymphs are on the menu with bigger fish such as this!
Awesome fellows, just plain awesome!
Doug
Fish when you can, not when you should! Anything short of this is just a disaster.

Good god... Ray. I need to come up and fish some bass with you. I need some bass thumb like... yesterday.

I had a few spots open in my Stonefly section.
20 inch Stones, Montana Prince and a few of Bills Stones filled those vacancies.
From the end of February until July, they produce.

Indeed they do! Thanks for the reminder. I need to replenish my supply for spring.
Beautifully tyed Wayne. Irresistibly buggly!
