George Nymph (Cottontop)

Hook - Mustad 9671, 9672 or equivalent, size 12-16
Thread - Dark brown or black
Tail - Brown hackle fibers
Shellback - Section of turkey tail feather
Abdomen - 3-5 strands of peacock herl
Wing case - White polypro yarn
Thorax – Peacock herl
Legs - Brown hackle fibers

Created by Eddie George in the 1930's for fishing the Little River in Tennessee.
Flytiers sure have a way at making things difficult
