this very pattern was the ticket for a friend of mine on the Metolius just a week ago... He scored a Metolius Grand Slam..... bull trout, brown trout, rainbow, and whitefish all in the same 30 yard stretch of river in a morning of fishing together. I, who did not have any sexy walts, didn't fare so well. Naturally, I just finished tying a batch of you guessed it... Sexy Walts!

Thank you. I had intended to fish today, and use them. As luck would have it, I was called last night to head to Wyoming for the next two weeks. No fishing, and working through Christmas.

When I tie these, I leave a very pronounced hot spot collar. I also tie the hot spot in Pink, Red, or Purple.

I do not know why, but when I am struggling, this is the pattern that saves my day.

I sure hope it works for you some where down the line.

Pssst, try it with Sowbug Rainbow dubbing too. 😉

DUBBN,

I tied up some original Sexy Walts and one variation where I ran the mylar long over the bead. I then tied the normal body and used the working end of the tinsel and the tag to make some wing buds over the body.
I want to fish them together and see if the added bling makes a difference. ;)
