Tan Caddis Pupa

I bought some Tan Squirrel Belly (SLF) dubbing yesterday. I had a few size 14 and larger hooks laying on my desk so I threw a few Caddis pupa together. The abdomens are Ultra Chenille and Squirrel Belly. The dubbing is in a tight noodle. The thorax is the same dubbing in a split thread.

Excellent. I'd fish these with confidence. I bet they look even better once they get wet.

This has given me several ideas for variations. Add a little CDC shuttlecock wing case and it would likely suspend in the surface film. Or add a snowshoe rabbits foot post and you would have a killer cripple pattern.

I could see these working well from top to bottom, in the water column. The more I think about it, the more I like these.

When I GOOGLE Palomina, the results still came up Palomino.... For me. Again, thank you Ruard.
