The conditions look prime! As does that trout. Nice healthy looking fish.

What made the stream color change? Was it a storm passing thru, or run off from the snow melt from up stream?

Ray, it was snow melt that made the river murky. A little color is fine with me, but the temperature of the water dropped from 2 weeks ago. The midge and BWO hatch was pathetic compared to two weeks ago, and there was no sign of caddis. You asked me awhile ago about temps, and I replied I didnt carry a thermometer. Maybe I should.

As of late I am having a hard deal sealing the deal (landing) on large trout. Maybe thats why they are large trout? :roll:

Break offs, or thrown hooks? I had a problem with break-offs a couple years back which turned out to be a bad spool of tippet (it had deteriorated from being stored in my car). I replaced the spool of tippet with a new spool and the issue went away.

Who makes that fleece jacket? That is a great color for fishing!

Love the photo.

One day I'd love to try that kind of float fishing. So cool.

DUBBN, Howdy;

Good to see you and your LFRB (Little F'n Rubber Boat), out on the water again. :D

Rascal says "oorp" to Odie.

Thrown hooks Ray. Except for a tree that ate my buddies, and my rig. :(

The fleece is made by Columbia, and I am estimating it at 15 years old. It is just now getting comfortable.

Never buy one of these Watermasters. You will fall in love with it, and float all the time. Then, you will become "Fat Fat the Sewer Rat" just like me! :lol:
