More like “freaky”, but I am confident they will catch fish. :D

Electric and eclectic. I'm certainly not an experienced steelhead fisherman, but I'll bet this pattern would draw their attention. Great creation, Ray.

Looks like is would be good for a drowned spinner if dressed on a light wire hook, nice stuff!

Hi Ray, It looks like it came right out of the greatest show on earth!

Lots of potential to draw strikes in this high and cold water we are experiencing this spring.

Best,

Tim

Ray,
I wish I could crow like a carnival barker from "The Greatest Show on Earth". All I can muster is Fantastic Job as Always Friend! The Offray Ribbon seems to be multi-colored along it's length and that has a really cool effect on each and every pattern that you show! These are definite fish getters with their shiny exteriors! I like them a lot!

Doug - Thank you so much, for the dubbing! I sat down at my vice, to play with it right away. This was the first time I’ve used the Krystal flash dubbing, and I really like it. I played around with a few colors (the black makes awesome thorax, btw). Thanks Buddy.

Anyway....Thanks guys, for humoring me. :D ;) I know I post some crazy patterns :? , but rest assured, the patterns are always intended for fishing. I learn so much by playing around with various materials. Then I’ve got a perfect excuse to test them out fishing, to see how they work on my local streams. Win. Win.

I’m really loving the potential of the ribbon hackles ( :shock: :o :roll: :lol: ).

Side note- the hackle is a bit long for my taste, but I wanted to see how the fish respond, when used as a searching pattern. I can always trim back the hackle streamside, if conditions demand a less flashy presentation.

Go ahead. Laugh. I’m a engineer. We are used to it. :geek: :lol: :D

Ray, Howdy;

the immediate thought that jumped to the front of my mind (?), when I read the
last line of your post. " Go ahead. Laugh. I’m a engineer. We are used to it. :geek: :lol: :D "

Engineers, the Rodney Dangerfield's of the Math /Science collective, "I don't get no respect."

A big part of catching is first attracting attention to what you are offering. This will do it!

I would probably fish that as a small streamer instead of a nymph. Might be a great pattern for some stillwater shores.
