I love the pattern and the name. My very concert ever was Bob Weir on his 'Heaven Help the Fool' tour. The Dead have been with me ever since. The Dead and tying go together like peas and carrots...

Beautiful Bob, the name is great too. Agree with the others that the "Dead " is regularly playing when i'm tying as well

I was in my early teens in the 70's. It helped a bit to have an aunt and uncle only 10 years older than me to haul me to concerts. Rochester Syracuse buffalo and alfred university we normal upstate shows around us.

Oh I've definitely got to tie a pattern called the "greatful red" ! I named one of my soft hackles the Tennessee Jed. I'll have to post some pics. Glad I'm not the only dirty hippie in the lot
