Holographic Fly Fiber. Purple on one side Silver on the other.

It is one of those items that I bought 20 years ago and use just enough to keep it around. At the rate I am using it up, it will last till the end of days.

I have used it as flash in Woolly Buggers.

Nice touch, although if I tried that little trick of yours it would guarantee to scare the fish away. Even though purple is my favorite color, it scares the fish down river for me. :|
