Transferred a few nymphs from my Wheatly box to a storage box.

That is pretty impressive J. I like the colors involved especially the pale pinks (that's what these tired old eyes register them as) towards the bottom! Wow!

A few? Gosh, that looks like enough to start a fly store!

Lovely nymphs.

Quite a few years ago, the "Pink Squirrel Daddy" (John Bethke) showed me the materials he used in the Pink Squirrel dubbing and the correct shade of pink chenille and Krystal flash that he uses in his tyings.

Since then, I subbed other furs (natural, olive & dark hare's ear, black squirrel, black beaver, etc.) for the gray squirrel, then mixed these furs with the other (original) materials to tie variations using the same beads, hooks, chenille, and wire to do vatiations of the Pink Squirrel nymph.

Each of these patterns seem to work when fished, so I do tie and keep quite a few of them available when I fish. But, I must say, that to many of my friends and die-hard Wisconsin fisher persons, the original pattern is still their favorite.
