Sand Fly Nymph

Hook - Mustad S82-3906, size 6-14

Thread - Brown

Tail - White marabou

Ribbing - Yellow thread

Body - Dark brown floss

Hackle - Ginger/dark ginger tied on as  collar

This fly was developed years ago by Terry Bryant of Spokane, Washington

Norm - You do some of the best floss work I've seen. I especially love how you get the small taper at the back of the body, where it transitions to the tail of the fly and where the rib begins. Fine attention to details, especially on a fishing fly.

Are you working your way thru Terry's book as a project, or are you just picking out patterns that interest you?
