Keep the skins intact! Just get yourself a dubbing rake. Fast efficient and fun to use.
No guard hairs!

I keep an extra rake on my expo tying table to demonstrate with a critter skin at tying shows. But I'd rather keep the bulk of the expo time devoted to tying with my prepared dubbings and hand out the flies to interested beginners. :)
