Wow, this is a treasure. Thanks fellas. You guys make a great team.

Bill, you really are a natural teacher. It's something I have wanted to do and I like the way you were so relaxed and too the time to explain why you were doing each step. This is an excellent resource and a fun series of videos. Love it.

I have added a link to Bill's video tutorials in the reference section. Unfortunately, I cannot peg the SBS section to the top of the topic list.

I like the video on the spun body. I've sat there and twisted the hackle pliers by hand and never had a thought of suspending the pliers and giving them a good spin. Dang... that was fast.

What zen said. Makes a case for acquiring some English hackle pliers. The lightweight teardrop shaped pliers I use would probably not spin so well. I have also tried reversing the way the thread is attached to the block - this allows a loop of thread to hang below the block in which a spinning tool is placed. The technique works but is a bit fiddly and not as fast as the way Bill shows us.
Great videos, gentlemen! I look forward to more.
Cheers,
Jim

Turned out my hackle pliers were too light for a good spin. I now have a heavier set on order along with some more Pearsall's thread.

Thanks for posting these, and thanks Bill for taking the time to put on a clinic. ;)
