Change colors (and name, I guess) to suit your needs.

hook - Mustad 3399A #12
thread - MFC 8/0 brown
butt/rib - small wire copper
abdomen - Uni-stretch orange
thorax - peacock herl
hackle - partridge

Mash down barb, start thread one hook eye width back; tie in partridge

tie in wire, wrap to bend

tie in Uni-stretch at point; wrap forward to 75% mark

wrap butt; spiral rib, helicopter end

tie in peacock, wrap thorax

wrap hackle, tie off, trim, half hitch x 2, SHHAN

Scott - Your tying is very efficient. Very well thought out and attractive fly. Well done.

Thanks for another excellent sbs.

Scott, I keep coming back to this one. Sorry I did say so earlier. The extended wire tag and the ribbing is something I haven't seen like this. It's an interesting combination of of the thread and wire body. Thanks for your thoughtful and very high quality sbs's. This is another excellent pattern.
