Terrific fly tying video Scott! Excellent tutorial for anyone wanting to learn to tye soft hackle flies. Your video covers many techniques very well (preparing hackling, reinforcing peacock herl, etc.). Great job.

Thanks! I will be posing more tutorials here from time to time. Got my fly tying area set up so I can make videos fairly easy now, which I am excited about.

Just had a chance to watch it. Nice work and great camera definition.

What sort of camera did you use?

Thanks. The camera I am using is a Sanyo Xacti VPC-FH1

The youtube video doesn't really do the original footage justice. It definitely captures a crystal clear image @60fps. I have been pretty happy with it, especially for a decently priced camera. Only draw back to it is the sound, but I just narrate it after the fact.
