A different take on a standard; swapped pheasant rump for pheasant tail fibers on the wing.

hook - Dai Riki 899 #6
thread - Danville 6/0 black
tag - tinsel small gold
tail - teal flank
rib - oval tinsel gold
body - floss black
hackle - black
collar - guinea
wing - pheasant rump

Striking! (Hopefully it would evoke some as well.)
In ancient times, cats were worshipped as gods; they have not forgotten this.

Scott!
What a classic and, as always, so well executed! I have some salmon fly hooks and, I think, all the materials you have posted in your recipe. Wow! Here's a challenge! What an inspiration! Thanks for posting this beauty!

Fish when you can, not when you should! Anything short of this is just a disaster.

Yes, a very nice tie of a very nice pattern. It fits in with what I'm wanting to do and that is upscale some classic soft hackles on similar sized hooks for Steelhead. Kudo's to the OP
