Not a wet fly in the true sense, but it can be pulled under and allowed to pop back up, resembling an emerging Caddis. A bit more involved than stuff like CDC & Elk or X-Caddis but it'll float until it's chewed up or broken off. If I get to Yellowstone and if I come in thru the west side, I'll give it a shot.

hook – Dai Riki 135 #14
thread - Danville 6/0 pale yellow
core - 7lb mono
abdomen/wing case/head - 1mm foam cream
hackle - partridge
wing - Congo Hair off white
legs - deer hair bleached

I bet that will fish well, when you get a chance to use it. Definitely worth tying in several colors. The construction is ideal for all manor of terrestrial patterns, with enough built in floatation to suspend a dropper fly from the bend.

Nice!
