Sherbrook's Copperbody

Post by ScottP » Mon Nov 20, 2017 9:27 am

A few mods to the original; kind of a Belgian Copper John. Subbed turkey for peacock quill wing and tail; unsure of what hackle was used, but the India hen I had seemed to go well with the wing.

hook - Dai Riki 075 #8
thread - Danville 6/0 black
butt - brassie wire copper
tail - turkey quill
body - medium wire hot orange
hackle - India hen
wing - turkey quill

I’m jealous of your ribbing skills (perfection) and admire the “full dressed” head (looks like the head on a full dressed salmon fly / read as a compliment).

Handsome fly Scott.
