More adventures with lesser known parts of the pheasant, and whip finishing with wire (needs work).

thread - Danville 6/0 black
rib - small wire copper
tail/body - pheasant tail
underwing - pheasant rump
overwing - pheasant shoulder

It looks eager and the head is fine, it suits the overall appearance of business.

A bit stalky with the DR 075; prefer the proportions with a shorter shank. Left the ribbing wire long and wrapped the head with that.

just a question after eyeballing your heads. Did you whipfinish the wire or were you very neat about tucking the cut end down.

Bill,

I did whip finish the wire; a bit of a pain and not something I plan on doing on a regular basis.
