Taking a dip in uncharted waters. A bit heavy on the wing; still climbing the learning curve with the material.

thread - Danville 6/0 black
tag - oval gold tinsel/orange floss
tail - duck quill yellow
body - grey yarn
body hackle - yellow
front hackle - orange
wing - barred woodduck
topping - bronze mallard
head - ostrich herl

A beauty for sure, inching ever closer to fully dressed salmon flies. You should excel at that, Scott, as you definitely have the necessary skills.

I agree with Bill on every point! With your skill and temperament this should be an easy task as you enter this new arena! I find your above pattern simply gorgeous! Please keep us fed even though we are coming off some wonderful Christmas dinners!
