Bill , what feather is the wing. I was given a hooded merganser skin last year and the flank feathers look very similar . I will take a photo tonight and post .

Dave, the wing is made up of barbs stripped from a bronze mallard flank feather. I will be interested to see the hooded merganser flank feathers.

No worries Bill, that's a beautiful tie. I have been pulling flank feathers from a bunch of Ducks my friends have taken over the past year or so. I'll put some photos up of flank feathers from what I've gotten recently from them.

				Bill,
You do fine work. The gold body harmonizes beautifully with the wing. Fishable Art.
I don't know what would make me happier. Seeing this fly in a wooden frame, or seeing it hanging from the scissors of a fine trout...

Bill, here are a few photos of the Hooded Merganser flank feathers. I've used them for tailing , but not much else. PM your address to me and I'll put some in the mail for you to do your magic with.

				Bill,
A very neat pattern in the Bergman style! You have done well on this one friend!
Dave, the pictures of the Hooded M. and your feathers are great! They seemed destined to make a beautiful wing such as what Bill have made! What a great collaboration! Keep it up fellows!
Liking what I see,
Doug
