Onion skin dyed mallard tail and wing, grey rabbit ribbed with silver and blue Dun hackle. A nice dusk wet down here....

Elegant dressing, John. The subtle color palette has a natural harmony.

Your post makes me want to dye some mallard, and tie some of these soon.

What size hook is this?

That’s a #12 Tiemco 3769. Usually tie this in 16 to 12....

Also I tie it with a mid olive rabbit body....

As much as I like quill wings, I’m turning more and more to feather fibre wings for my fishing flies....

There is something about your pattern.....it is very....pleasing to look at and I am sure the fish in your area (trout I hope?) will agree! You have brought the ingredients together in just the right way! Especially the body work! Masterfully dubbed for sure! I am liking the entire package! Great job!
