Hair wing Silver Doctor….

Post by Johnno » Sat Aug 07, 2021 11:07 pm

Another “ winged wet”

The proportions are a bit out but I’ll take it.

I tie a lot of stuff for shear pleasure and most will never get fished, and this no exception, but if I ever found myself on a salmon river either side of the Atlantic ( probably unlikely given the world we now live in) I’d stick it on and swim it…

A lovely, lovely fly, dressed on a graceful hook.

Salmon flies to me are works of art. The vibrant colors and how they all go together just amaze me. Sometimes I wonder if you have to be a decorator of some sort to know what colors go with other colors and then picture it all in your mind on how you want it to look. Its way beyond my imagination.

Well done on this tie. Another work of art in my opinion.

Howdy All;

Just where did the idea for these garish styled flies come about and what are they
modeled after :?:

Johnno,
Wow! Drop dead gorgeous pattern! Your talents are broad and deep! I really like your style of tying! You do have a couple of these under glass and on the wall don't ya?
Please show us more!
