Dyed Partridge capes

Post by ForumGhillie » Sun Feb 10, 2019 12:42 pm

Below are a couple of dyed partridge capes I bought yesterday from Dave Roberts, Feather Emporium. He has about 6 more of each left over but I left before the show was over. Notice they have the heads of the partridge but they are kind of mangled. Not a big deal to me. He also had about a dozen Nature's Spirit Premium natural partridge capes. Since I already have a few I resisted buying any more.

He also had a new Whiting dry fly rooster line which includes both the cape and saddle. I couldn't resist buying one in honey dun. :D

I have one just like the bottom pic and another slightly lighter...both from Dave Roberts. I think I might have posted a pic of it awhile back. Makes very nice soft hackled dressings.
