Look for the mane. If it is long enough it can be used for midge larva and pupa. If the hair is not long enough you shot a piglet.

John

I started buying Buck Naked underwear a little over a year ago. Wish I had done so sooner. Will buy nothing else in the future. Love their heavy weight pocket t-shirts that are something like 3" - 4" longer in the back!

I like Duluth Trading Co. cold weather t-shirts and flannel shirts for Winter fun, like grouse hunting, ice fishing, skiing and hiking. I never have purchased their underwear.

I used to get wild boar hair from a hunting outfit in Canada. I've processed the wool of many different boar. Some of the wool is like steel wool and some is very soft and fine.
Wild boar wool is not very well represented in fly tying literature. The salmon fly tyers of Brittany France are the most well known.
